7 Drabbles: Looking in Akame's Relationship
Title: Looking in Akame's Relationship (Or more like, proving Kame is the girl in akame)
Fandom: KAT-TUN
Pairing: akame
Genre: Romance (I guess)
Rating: G
Summary: 7 drabbles. Kame is not a girl or is he?
Disclaimer: Don't own them.
A/N: First fic/drabbles in this fandom. For
dimantrien because I love her to bits and because I keep delaying her with this one. Also for
dukki because she beta-ed this for me and she encouraged me to post this finally.
1.
Festival
As far as Kamenashi Kazuya knew, festivals were supported by local shrines or temples surrounded with food stalls, carnival games and people wearing traditional clothes (i.e. yukata or kimono). It was about enjoying the day/s (depending on how long it lasts) by participating in contests or watching spectacular fireworks during the night.
So he couldn’t quite understand why he was being dragged by his boyfriend to the amusement park miles away from any local shrine and days before the star festival, wearing ordinary jeans, some random shirt and a hat as disguise.
“Kame-chan~! Let’s go ride the rollercoaster,” Jin says, pushing his boyfriend even before he could start to protest.
“Yabai…yabai…yabai….” Kame starts a mantra as soon as the cart begins to move. [1]
Jin laughs out loud, enjoying the ups and downs of the rollercoaster while squeezing Kame’s hand as the young man continuously shouted whether in excitement or fright, Jin didn’t know. But Kame can’t be scared of heights, being good in aerial acrobatics, when Jin himself could barely move his arms even with a harness.
“Aaaaaaah~!” Kame was still yelling by the end of the last loop, his face deathly pale.
Boys can be afraid of heights too, definitely. But do they really need to shout and wail like a girl? Kame is surely an exception. He was still latched onto tightly to Jin’s arm, even after the ride was well over.
“Next time, can we just see the fireworks?” Kame says exhaustedly.
2.
Book
“Kamenashi-san! Kamenashi-san!” A tall young man approached him.
“Uchi-san! And to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?” Kame asked. Perfect, Uchi grinned. Kame was in a very good mood.
“Do you have a copy of that new shoujo manga that got sold out last week?”
“My One and Only?” [2]
“Yup, that’s the one. May I borrow it? Ryo-chan’s being evil again, so I’m gonna annoy him with this new manga. If it’s okay with you, of course.” Uchi asked hesitantly.
“Sure, as long as it annoys Ryo-chan.” Kame giggled. “I’ve read it anyway. Just take care of the pages, or my sister would kill me.”
Jin arrives, spotting Kame and Uchi fussing over something he thought was a book, only to find out it was another copy of those shoujo manga Kame was seemingly addicted to. He couldn’t help but wonder if it was normal for two young men to read their sister’s shoujo manga, even to the point of borrowing new volumes from each other.
3.
Favorite
Kame dragged Jin to Burberry to shop for a new set of designer clothes.
“Mou, Kame-chan. We’ve been here last week!”
“But I need a new set of clothes, and this shop is my favorite.”
“Every shop is your favorite,” Jin mutters before asking, “I thought we were on a date?”
“We are!”
“How can we enjoy it when you keep buying all these clothes?” Jin whines, furiously brandishing all the paper bags he was holding.
Kame ignored Jin and entered another store. Jin couldn’t do anything but pout and trudge towards said shop, all of Kame’s paper bags in tow.
Girls loved shopping and usually let their boyfriends do the holding. Kame favors shopping… so does that mean Kame’s a girl?
4.
Pets
Jin was scratching Pin’s tummy lightly. Kame wasn’t deceived by the tail-wagging at all. He was so sure he saw a mad glint in that dog’s eye, as if it was going to bite him the moment he invaded Jin’s foot-wide personal bubble. Kame pouted.
“Kame-chan, stop staring at Pin.”
“But…Pi gave it to you. And you even named it Pin!”
“That was a long time ago! We weren’t even together back then.”
“It hates me.”
“Pin is a he, Kame and he doesn’t hate you.”
“That’s it,” Kame scoffed. “I’m going home.”
“Eh?”
“I want Ran-chan.”
“Kameee~!! Pin is just my pet, you’re my boyfriend. Clearly, they’re two different things.”
Kame snorted. “Tell me that when you’ve paid me enough attention.” Jin stood dumbstruck as his boyfriend closed the front door harshly.
“Argh! Stupid online guide to keeping your relationships! Now what?” Jin grumbles, taking Pin and feeding him before finally deciding to follow and apologize to Kame.
5.
Airplane
Boys don’t cry. Unless, of course, you’re more inclined to your feminine side.
“Kame-chan! It’s a date!” Jin said, almost to the point of bouncing up and down the street as they walked to the movie house.
Both stars were disguised heavily to avoid paparazzi.
On days like these, it was easy to be happy like Jin and Kame, who easily avoided the long lines and entered the theatre immediately to watch “Before Sunset”. [3]
Halfway through the movie, Jin looked at Kame, who was silently sobbing at Jesse’s acceptance to his fate when Celine sang the line, “Baby…you’re gonna miss that plane”.
So Kame leans on Jin and asks, “You won’t leave me right?”
“Never.” Jin replies.
“Promise?”
“Promise.” Jin had promised.
But he did. And Kame cried the night Jin left to America. He cried until there were no tears to cry any longer.
6.
Genius
Kame was irritated. Thinking Jin left him for blue-eyed blonde Americans. As far as Kame was concerned, he was cuter.
So when the management decided that the games in their mini-concerts would have corresponding punishments, Genius Kame decided to taunt Jin and lost—deliberately—several times in order to wear a seifuku.
Just the image of Jin drooling over him made Kame giggle while wearing the seifuku. And so even though taking pictures weren’t allowed inside their concerts, Kame readily posed whenever he heard camera clicks, making the fangirls scream even louder.
Six months later, Jin was on his way back to Japan, a couple of months earlier than what he had planned.
7.
Flowers
Kame loves flowers, especially roses.
Every time he performed Sixteen Seconds, he wore the black polo with the designed rose on his left chest side. Every time he danced to the tune of Seishun Amigo, a rose was used as a background. He even dragged some of the KAT-TUN members to hold a rose in their SUMMARY concert.
Kame missed Jin. He wanted him to apologize for breaking his promise. Moreover, he wanted a kiss, a hug, a declaration than Jin still loved him.
Kame didn’t have to wait too long. Jin had pulled him aside right before the others entered the conference room.
“I love you.” Jin had whispered to him, handing him eleven red roses and a letter before exiting to who-knows-where.
Kame opened the letter, and smiled—a warm, sincere smile, one that has been missing in the six months Jin was gone. He fondly stared at the rose-printed paper, before slipping it into the pocket of his coat.
He carefully placed the flowers on his table. The press conference was about to start, but first things first. For Kame, there was nothing more important than searching for a certain Bakanishi…and finally finding him home.
Kazuya,
Did you know that eleven roses mean “You are my treasured one; the one I love most in my life”? You are such a tease, deliberately losing every time and wearing that seifuku. You better wear one when we’re together! [4]
I love you.
Jin.
A/N: I actually wrote this during a boring sociology day last summer. Hope you liked it. Editted it again...thanks a lot
dukki!
[1] If you've watched the video of Kame and Jin riding the rollercoaster well that's where the 'yabai' came from.
[2] Asked my friend to give me a random mushy title, not sure if there is a shoujo manga that's entitled 'My One and Only' *laughs*
[3] You can check wikipedia for the movie info if you like. This scene was actually based from the Koki and Kame movie experience.
[4] The meaning of the 11 roses was taken from here.
